Welcome to our Website about our iPad journey! We are one of 5 Belfast schools chosen as part of a study into the use of iPads to help raise standards in Literacy and Numeracy. We were selected in March 2013 and the iPads were sent to schools at the end of June 2013. We received 50 iPad 4s, 50 iPad cases, a Mac Book Pro and 2 super charging cabinets, which each have the capacity to hold 32 iPads. We also installed broadband in our Office Block to allow us to configure our iPads easily. There is an issue with the C2k meru wireless and passwords. In September 2013 we began the task of setting up our iPad project. With the help of Philip Martin from BELB, Mrs Rooney and Miss Harte our ICT coordinators, began the process of unpacking these wonderful tablets, putting them in their new cases and setting up the charging cabinets. Mrs Rooney then sent off the volume purchasing program (VPP) forms to BELB for app purchase. The codes came back within the week and the Board helped Mrs Rooney and Miss Harte configure the iPads. The iPads began their journey with our children on Monday 21st October with Mrs Gallagher P1 and Miss Adams P2. We have also found Patrick Mc Grath and his iTeach team very helpful in the technical side of this new venture.
